- Botanica Green Living Festival(39 days)
Queensland
Planted north of the NSW beds is a new area that features plants from Queensland that tolerate the northcoast climate. Members of the myrtle family, grevilleas and pendas are frequently alive with birds, and close to the creek are little Kurrajong (flame tree) and most unusual grevilleas and lillypillies.
A small lake has been built and reeds are being established, although these are popular with moorhens and need to ne protected. Plantings in the northern section are flourishing, a rose butternut already 3 metres tall after only 2 years.
